Short Documentary, A Racing Heart

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world, meaning the measure of life is not its duration, but its donation. One organ donor can save up to eight lives. Over 4500 Canadians are currently on the waiting list for an organ. 90% of Canadians support organ donation, but only 20% are registered donors. Without organ donors, there is no story, no hope, no transplant. With organ donors, life springs from death, sorrow turns to hope, and a terrible loss becomes a gift. John and his donor Adam demonstrate this life saving bond in Andrew Dickhout’s short documentary A Racing Heart.

A Racing Heart screens twice at the Forest City Film Festival: Oct 26th and 28th. Tickets here.
