The 2018 FCFF Industry Sessions are taking place OCTOBER 26-28 @ THE STEVENSON AND HUNT ROOM next to the Wolf Performance Hall across the corridor from the Main Branch Library downtown. 10:00 - 11:30 POSTPRODUCTION ON A BUDGET (Panel) Listen and learn from our industry pros as they share microbudget postproduction secrets and cautionary tales that will help you get the most out of your post-production.
12:00 - 1:30 SCORING YOUR FILM (Panel) Learn from music publishing professionals: how to properly incorporate music into your film: creating, locating, licensing, compensation, and working directly with musical artists.
2:00 - 3:00 THE SOUND OF SUCCESS BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! The 23-year veteran and award-winning sound designer Mark Vogelsang teaches you how many overlooked elements of sound production can render a film’s story arc successful or unsuccessful.
3:00 – 6:00 LEDC NETWORKING PARTY Come and introduce yourself to the local film industry! Registered “pitchers” will speak one at a time in blocks of 5. Each speaker is given 1 minute to introduce themselves and detail their link to the local filmmaking industry. 5 people will speak, then there will be a 25-minute break to mingle/exchange information, then the next 5 people and so on for a total of 20 people. 3:00 – 4:00 CURRENT TRENDS IN FUNDING Finding the necessary funding has never been as challenging as it is today. Fortunately, innovative new opportunities such as “branded content” have emerged and are providing fantastic solutions for emerging filmmakers. Learn what Branded Content is all about, and how it may be the key to funding your next project.
